The Sea, My Mother
Title
The Sea, My Mother
Creator
Description
This piece is inspired by a poem I wrote about the resilience of my mother, comparing her to one of the most powerful and beautiful things in creation and the way she has carried me through the best and worst moments of my life.
The Sea, My Mother /
Reflection of light and righteously tempestuous /
She lives by the path of the moon and shines in the sun /
Unfathomable depths of things unknown and wholly unimaginable in their enigmatic beauty /
A constant, in motion towards the future and holding the past /
God’s tears of joy and grief. salt of the earth, never losing its flavor /
Carrying, holding, all in her arms/
Bringer of Life.
